Port Credit is a bustling waterfront community in Mississauga with plenty to offer.

Life in Port Credit

Port Credit’s vibrant waterfront community is known to locals as “The Jewel in the Crown of Mississauga”. Featuring a lakeside harbour, there are plenty of activities and amenities available down by the water. Near the lake there are plenty of parks perfect for family picnics, concerts, cultural events, and social events. There are also a number of excellent schools to choose from.

Known as Mississauga’s “entertainment hub”, Port Credit is the centre of activity in the city. It’s filled with a wide variety of retailers, restaurants and cafes, and is a favourite location for water sports including boating and fishing. The Waterfront Trail is perfect active residents. The trail connects 68 Mississauga communities and over 405 parks and natural areas including wetlands, forests and beaches.

Residents can travel around the GTA on land or via the lake, as the Credit Village Marina and the Port Credit Harbour Marina are positioned right at the mouth of the Credit River. Major bus routes travel down Hurontario Street and Lakeshore Road to the main bus hub at the Port Credit GO Transit station. Cyclists can travel along the Waterfront Trail or Lakeshore.
