Milton is a town with a variety of residential pockets, from rural to brand new. Harrison is on the newer side and is oriented around families.

About Harrison

Taking a drive along the tree-lined streets, looking at the houses that sit on well-manicured lawns is a great way to get familiar with the community. This neighbourhood is great for commuters thanks to its proximity to the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and other parts of Milton. The major thoroughfares in the region include Derry and Tremaine Roads. Getting to and from the GTA can happen all along Highway 401, which is a short drive north of the neighbourhood.

Since this community was designed with growing families in mind, it makes sense that educational institutions were part of the plan. Children of all ages can be served at Lumen Christi Catholic Elementary School, P. L. Robertson Public School or Escarpment View Public School. Once class is done and the workday has come to an end, families can head to one of the many outdoor areas to unwind.

Life in Harrison

Optimist Park, McDougal Park and Gastle Park are right within the neighbourhood and all great places to get some fresh air, go for a run or take a relaxing break. For those who prefer indoor recreation, the Milton Sports Centre is an ideal facility to frequent. NHL lovers can practice for the Stanley Cup at one of the four ice pads available.

If tennis is your sport there are courts available to work on your swing. Fitness is quite important for the health and wellbeing of the community, which is why there is a dedicated fitness centre and jogging track available in addition to the many pools. Retail therapy is also available at the charming Main Street, Milton’s historic district. Here, residents can find a variety of art galleries, boutiques, eateries and other lovely businesses.

Harrison Real Estate

Although the real estate in Harrison is quite varied and includes rural pockets, newer residential areas can also be found here. Homes for sale in this community are ideal for families who are looking to grow since they are often very spacious. There are detached and semi-detached styles in this family friendly locale and the access to amenities is great. This neighbourhood has something for everyone.
