The Town of Milton in the GTA has lots of unique areas including the rural community known as Walker.

About Walker

This part of Milton is great for people who are looking for a scenic place to live and nature lovers who enjoy woodlands and farm fields. It is also ideal for those who are sick and tired of the everyday hustle and bustle of larger cities like the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). This is a wonderful part of town to retreat to in privacy, away from the stressors of metropolitan life.

Life in Walker

Although it is a farmland and some ways out from the GTA, getting around town isn’t too tough. There are main roads that pass through the neighbourhood like Tremaine Road and the ever so popular Britannia Road. The small-town feel is extended to the educational options afforded to residents of the district.

Shopping plazas with retailers, restaurants, salons, and other businesses are located along major streets north of the area, such as Ontario Street. Homes for sale in Walker are within close proximity to Milton’s bordering Nelson, Ford and Harrison neighbourhoods.

Walker Real Estate

Potential residents interested in buying a house for sale in Walker may be attracted to the rural state of this neighbourhood. The area consists mostly of farm and undeveloped land, though there are some developments in the region. Country homes and farmhouses are the type of residential structures located in this community along the main roads.

Schools located nearby include P. L. Robertson Public School and Lumen Christi Catholic Elementary School. Once class is dismissed and the workday is complete, residents of the neighbourhood don’t have to go too far for recreational fun. Just northeast of the community is the Milton Sports Centre.
Wonderful for people of all ages, this facility is ideal for those who want to get in shape or stay active. Take a cool dip in the swimming pools or practice your strokes. There are four ice-rinks available here for public skating as well as hockey. Once all the fun is done and errands have to be taken care of, residents do not really need to far out of their community.
