West Oak Trails is a peaceful Oakville community developed in the 1990s. Compared to its neighbouring communities, it’s quite young—and naturally beautiful. The residential pocket of Westmount is also nestled in this vicinity, and shares the same amenities as West Oak Trails.

Life in West Oak Trails

Adults and kids alike can enjoy the natural setting of the West Oak Trails neighbourhood. Those who prefer “the great outdoors” can frequent plenty of green spaces and parks like Old Oak Park, Pine Glen Park and West Oak Trails Park. A plethora of walking trails can be found here, giving residents the opportunity to get, or stay in shape through leisure walks or runs.

The spaciousness of the homes in the community suits growing families well. Children can attend Emily Carr Public School, West Oak Public School, Forest Trail Public School as well as Captain R. Wilson Public School.

Indoor recreational options are available at the Glen Abbey Community Centre, which offers plenty of health and athletic amenities. There’s a gymnasium, two ice-rinks, a sauna, and a pool with a waterslide.
You never have to leave the neighbourhood to run your errands. Upper Middle Road is lined with daily essentials. Get all your shopping done at one of the various grocery stores and plazas. There are also plenty of restaurants and other businesses to check out, like salons and clothing boutiques. Downtown Oakville area is also nearby, for those who want to experience a quaint, charming shopping experience in a historic enclave.

Living in Oakville is a nice escape from the hustle of the GTA. Commuters love the convenience of Highway 407, which is east of the neighbourhood in addition to the Queen Elizabeth Way moments away. Local roads include Bronte and Upper Middle Road, Third Line and Dundas Street. The Bronte GO Transit station is close to the area as well.

West Oak Trails Real Estate

The neatly landscaped yards and fledgling trees flank the real estate, composed primarily of larger homes with matching lots. Two-storey detached styles with three bedrooms or more are commonly found here. In addition, updated townhouses do exist as well. In Westmount, contemporary, detached houses make up the majority real estate, while other properties include semi-detached and townhomes.
