About Nassagaweya
Nassagaweya is one of Milton’s most historic rural communities. The name comes from the Mississauga word “nazhesahgewayong,” meaning “river with two outlets,” a reference to the rivers and creeks that flow through the area toward Lake Ontario. Founded in the 1800s, the community was part of Halton County until the mid 1970s when it became part of Milton.
The neighbourhood offers a peaceful countryside setting with woodland surrounding the residences and calm country roads connecting to the rest of the region. Highway 401 runs through the area, making it easy to get to and from the Greater Toronto Area. Other major routes include Campbellville Road and Guelph Line.
Nassagaweya attracts buyers who appreciate rural privacy, natural beauty, and a connection to local history while staying within reach of Milton’s amenities.
